Product Development Stages *

  • This stage is an introduction to UW Collective and our way of working. We take the time to understand your product vision, requirements, intended market, and target launch timeline.

    During this stage, we discuss scope, expectations, and technical considerations. We then provide structured product briefs and templates for you to complete, which form the foundation for Stage 2 development.

  • In this stage, we work closely with you to finalise the product requirements and technical scope. This includes confirming formulation objectives, brand positioning, claims direction, regulatory considerations, packaging constraints, and export requirements.

    Once the requirements are agreed, we provide a detailed quote. Following approval, we commence technical scoping and ingredient research. Each ingredient is assessed for suitability against the brand, intended claims, and target markets.

    When the formulation direction is confirmed and locked, the project progresses to Stage 3 development.

  • During this stage, we undertake detailed technical scoping and formulation research. Each ingredient is assessed for suitability against the brand positioning, intended product claims, and target export markets.

    Formulation prototyping then begins in our lab. Samples are developed, reviewed, and refined, and provided for your evaluation and approval.

    Once the formulation is finalised and approved, the project moves into Stage 4.

  • In this stage, we prepare the formulation for manufacturing execution. This includes stability and compatibility planning, packaging confirmation, and coordination of any required third party testing.

    We refine technical documentation, processing guidance, and specifications to support accurate scale up. Where required, we work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure the formulation is correctly translated from lab to production.

  • During the final stage, we provide technical support through initial production and launch preparation. This may include first batch oversight, troubleshooting, and final technical sign off.

    We support the transition to market by ensuring all technical elements are aligned, documented, and ready for commercial release, allowing brands to move forward with confidence.
